Looking for advice or relevant experience. I would like to move my 16 yr old cat from my parents' house (rural-suburban, with other cats around both in the house and in the neighborhood) to my 1 bedroom apartment. He has lived at that house his entire life and has always been an outdoor/indoor cat, and I would be keeping him indoors entirely. Would it be too hard on him to make this transition, considering his age? He is healthy, he has been slowing down lately but he still spends a lot of time outside, mostly sleeping in bushes. Also I work 9 hour days so he would be alone during the day.
Does this seem like a good/bad idea? Any tips or insight would be appreciated.
