My 4-year old cat was prescribed Clavacillin (twice a day) due to an upper respiratory infection. It has helped tremendously and she's stopped sneezing. Everything seemed great until last night when she started vomiting out of nowhere. She threw up on the bed and it was yellow which is the color of the pill. At first I thought it may have been due to her not eating enough before and after I gave her the pill but it's gotten worse since. She threw up three times before I went to sleep and when I woke up this morning, the living room carpet was covered in vomit and there was also some on the hardwood floors and the guest bathroom where her litter box is located. It's like she was walking around throwing up all night. It was mostly clear with some food in it. This afternoon she started having diarrhea as well. She keeps wanting to eat though and is active as usual. I'm not sure what to do - I can't afford to take her to the emergency vet again. I have stopped giving her the medicine. Is there anything I can do for her? Are these normal side effects for this medication? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
