Posting on behalf of my mother.
So we have a 7 year old cat who vomits almost everyday he can vomit up to 4 times a day and it’s not hairballs it’s liquid chunky vomit basically what he just ate. He will vomit anywhere even on my bed. We are in the process of getting a vet appointment but it’s hard due to COVID. Our vet is only taking emergency situations only and have been for the past year and a half. His last vet checkup was back at the start of 2020 before everything closed he had a clean bill of health we had mentioned it and the vet said he was greedy. He also seems to cough a lot and his breathe smells really bad but I’m unsure if it’s related. My mother has tried switching foods but nothing is helping. He always seems to vomit after eating or drinking water even fresh chicken he’ll vomit. My mother has 2 other cats that have wet food as their main dish they are very fussy (yes they eat dry food too) he always gets into their bowls scoffs their food then vomits. I keep telling my mother to keep the bowls away from him as he will get into them and just be sick but she won’t listen to me. I know I shouldn’t butt my head into her business because they aren’t my cats but he’s constantly sick on my bed and all over my stuff and it drives me insane. I believe he has allergies to specific cat food as he vomits with wet and dry I also believe he eats too fast. Any advice please?
I’ll mention again that we have tried to get a vet appointment multiple times but they turn us away because it’s emergencies only. We can’t even call them as the line is closed for normal patients.
