My cat Fig, who showed up on my mom and I’s bench around Christmas, has recently been tracking fleas inside. He’s an outside cat that loves to come inside, sleep, and eat his food.
Because he complains very loudly when we don’t let him go outside, we’ve been letting him come and go as he pleases. We’ve noticed a couple of fleas, but we didn’t have a flea collar for him. We have a retention pond near our apartment complex that a lot of dogs go to, he enjoys hanging out around there. This morning, my mom was trying to fall asleep and she said she was getting attacked by fleas. We have a brand new couch, and because we treat our animals like miniature people, we let them sleep on it.
Today it has gotten significantly worse. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
