hello, about 2 months ago my sister gave me her cockatiel. he’s only a few months old so still a baby. he’s the first bird i’ve ever had so i just have some questions/concerns. for starters, how are ways that i can train him to not nibble on cords? a concern i have is that sometimes i’m scared he does like me. he prefers to only be handled when he wants attention, and can be somewhat affectionate. (loves skritches but won’t cuddle) but sometimes when i try to let him out of his cage he scoots away, hisses, etc. i assume this is his way of telling me he’s not in the mood but i’m not sure. he’s a needy boy, and i think is pretty attached to me? i left for a week and my family told me he was so upset. i want to find ways to help him be more affectionate but it may just be his personality. are there ways to potty train birds as well? i’m still pretty new to all this. i want to make him the happiest lil guy tho so any advise would be great :)
