Giving my Cat FortiFlora for Diarrhea

My cat is around 7 years old and gets into everything, shes had diarrhea on and off for years and the doctors will always prescribe an antibiotic of sorts (I believe) and a probiotic (FortiFlora) whenever I go to them. I feed her Hill's Science Diet Adult Sensitive Stomach.

I honestly don't think the antibiotic really does anything but I'm sure the Fortiflora works wonders, my cat gets diarrhea quite frequently (maybe 1-3 times a month) and lately, I've been giving her the Fortiflora decently regularly (maybe every other day) but sometimes she goes a week with it and is okay, but sometimes she will get super yellow mucusy poop and poop on my carpet, so I don't like to risk it. Also, she loves it and acts like it's a treat.

So as of right now, I'm kinda concerned that maybe there's an underlying issue? I asked my vets office what I should do and of course, they said she would need an exam ($106 I don't really have) and all I really need to know is should I bring her in just to be safe or should I just keep using Fortiflora long term? Because when she does have it regularly she is perfectly fine and even when she does have diarrhea she still eats and acts extremely healthy.

I've looked at multiple different sites and it does look like Fortiflora is okay to be given long term it just worries me because on the packaging it says
"Feed one packet to your cat daily under the supervision or direction of your veterinarian." But I've also seen other places say it can be given as a daily supplement?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated, thanks.
