I have 3 pets. 2 stray cats(1 adult, 1 kitten) and 1 puppy. Cats are outdoor and only come to us for food. We went out for a while and came back to 2 hungry cats waiting at doorstep. I prepared their food in a bowl and was walking towards them. I heard a Yelp of cat and then realized what happened. I have stepped accidentally on the kitten (not hard). He was scared and ran away. I didn't see anything off with him. He ran and jumped fine but I FEEL SO TERRIBLE. I should have watched my steps more carefully. I don't know if he will ever able to trust me again. Do anyone have advice of how to gain their trust back? Assuming they will come back to home for food.
