Hey guys I’m a single guy in mid 20’s who lives alone and has a 2 year old cat named Dumdum.
Due to some personal reasons I have to leave the country for about 6 months and I can’t avoid it. I can’t take my 2 year old cat with me either since there’s laws in the country I’m going that make it really hard to bring pets from overseas. I love this little fluffball and idk how I’m gonna manage without him since he’s been my emotional support cat(not officially but he’s very loving and cuddly).
I can leave him with my friends who will take care of him as they love him too but I just don’t know how i feel about him being away from me for that long(he goes crazy even when i go out for 1 hour). Idk how he’s gonna deal with sudden change. How he’s gonna feel abandoned and if he’s even going to like me if i leave him all of a sudden for 6 months.
I know it all may sound silly but I’ve just been struggling a lot thinking about this.
Have you guys had to do something similar and how did your cats respond to that?
