I just had to rehome my bunnies. I am so sad, even tho it is the right thing (I'm moving very far away). I feel awful for doing it.

I just had to drop my bunnies at a bunnie rescue so they could go to their new foster family. I am moving to New Orleans in a week, and there is NO way I would have been able to provide enough space, or time for them. Not to mention the 20hr drive.

I am beyond heartbroken and I miss them SO much. My dog died last year and I keep telling myself that they will be happy, and it isn't as bad as that. But this is very hard, in a different way.

TJ (my boy bunny) has been with me through the worst periods of my life. Alice (my other bunny) has been there through a lot with me as well. They are a bonded pair and have each other. I didn't realize how much their presence meant to me until I came home to an empty room.

I know I'll adapt but this is just really hard. At least the place I'm moving to has a cat.

Idk, any similar experiences to share?
