I need advice about my cat and rabbit

I have a cat and bunny they are both very young. My cat likes to sleep next to the cage. My rabbit doesn’t seem scared of him, they play through the bars and they seem to like each other, my rabbit keeps pushing hay out of her cage to share with him. Would it be safe to allow them both to be out? Is there a way to slowly introduce them without the cage in between? Obviously they will be supervised but I don’t have a lot of experience and I don’t want to put either of them in danger
