Hello sorry for possible bad English im really disturbed rn i get to it right away.
So while I was away on vacation my cat had fought with something. According to my parents it was another cat but they arent sure. He haf small wound around his neck that had already closed and were healing by the time i got home. He lost weight and he barely ate anything yesteday and is acting unusual because: yesterday he kept wanting to go inside (which is normal but not to the extent he was doing right now) and hide in the house.
At first I though he was just scared because hes scared of the neighbours cat that possibly beat him up but today I found him on our bridge while walking my dog and he was drooling and putting his tounge out and chewing like smthg was stuck in his mouth. When i came back with my dog and put him away to check on the cat he was on the neighbors bridge so I called my mom to ask her to come home and help cuz there might be smthg stuck in his mouth. While I calling her and watching the cat he was still acting wierd as if he was scared of me then he started doing the thing with his mouth again and then just started walking in a circle so i backed off because i was scared what he might do then he collapsed and started spasming and pretty much having a sezure and i freaked out and he was doing that for a good 3 minutes then he just stopped and i thought he died but he was still breathing then after about five minutes he lifted his head up and he is still alive now amd hes not doing the thing with his mouth.
We called the vet right after my mom came home (I dont speak the language) and he told us if he is rabid he doesnt drink and hides away from the sun etc. That does sortof fit the description. He also said he wouldnt drink if he was rabid and none of us remembers seeing him dring water. I gave him some now and he wouldnt drink. I even tried milk amd still nothing he would just sniff it super close like as if almost about to drink it but still wouldnt.
He is acting more normal now but he still is acting unusual. He seems depressed and timid we cant even lure him away from the noighbors bridge cuz he keeos walking back. If i come close to him he does walk up to me a bit and meows but not his normal meow its that really slow painful something hurts kindof meow and he is not ok.
The vet told us to take him in tomorrow morning but i wanted to share this here to get some advice cuz my mom couldn't tell him he was hidimg in the house (because of the shock of the situation and she also doesnt speak the language that well).
I dk what to think. He didnt attack any of my other pets or anything. I interacted with him yesterday he didnt drool on me didnt scratch me or anythong idl if im in danger or my other pets are in danfer or if my cat willl even get to live by tomorrow. We live next to a forest in a village and although we dont have rabid foxes around here its not impossible that he found smthg like that.
Could he be rabid? Are my pets and family in danger? We already told the neighbor what happened so they wont go clse to him if they meet him. My mom just came in and said he is on our bridge now.
Pls help. Im sending this to every sub i can in case someone can tell me something please dont remove this.
