Okay.. so I got a second cat(yr old female, fixed), did the introduction pretty good. Things were good for a while.
Lately, over the past few months, my first kitty(2 yr old male, fixed) has become a bit of a bully. It is to the point of the my first kitty have changed behaviour. She wont come sit with me while watching tv, wont come in my bedroom at all, she will only come and see me if I am in the kitchen... not even about food.
My male cat will chase her around and be a bit agressive due to life circumstances and then the pandemic, I couldn't get him fixed as soon as he should of, so he still exhibits some humping behaviour.
Due to the stress she overgrooms.
I've tried the feliway multicat plug ins.. the spray... tried redirecting behaviour with play.. but it persists.
I do engage with both of them, playing with them both.
I don't want to give her away.. i love my kitty... but I also want her happy and healthy, even if that does mean rehoming her.
Any advice on how to help this behaviours, or opinions on rehoming her? And if I do rehome her, any recommendations on how to screen out people to help ensure she goes to a loving home?
