I live in a fairly small townhome and when I first moved in, I had a pet cat who didn't shed too excessively so it wasn't a major issue... but I adopted a mixed breed dog last winter, and since this spring onward she has just been shedding nonstop (even though she's a short haired terrier/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix).
I have invested in mega lint rollers, an air purifier, and made sure my HVAC filters are being replaced as needed since they trap a lot of debris and lint... but man, it's just nonstop. I just thoroughly cleaned my floors yesterday and today walking around in my socks they're just covered in hair. I work from home so i'm noticing it more frequently but it just feels like no matter what I do I'm constantly cleaning up pet hair.
What are some of your favorite products for combating this? I have been taking her to a groomer monthly but maybe I need to go more often? I also got a rubber comb thing that groomers use and I have brushed her fur with it but doesn't seem to really help much with the frequency of the shedding.
Just wondering if there are any other good products that might help, either in terms of pet products (anti shedding formulas maybe?) or even just general cleaning/filtration products. I might get one or two more air purifiers so I have one in each area of the house for example.
