Wonderful Cat I Just Rescued...Has Fleas

Rescued a cat from a less-than-ideal situation on Saturday, realized he had fleas Sunday (this) morning and immediately began treating them. So far I’ve stripped the bed and washed it, washed any clothes or fabric-y things he could have come into contact with, vacuumed the hardwood floor and mattress thoroughly, gave him a flea bath with Advantage flea spray, combed him out for fleas, and sprayed the room and mattress with HomeArmor flea spray.

I live with my parents and they were pretty adamant that they didn’t want to/didn’t think we had to spray the rest of the house or wash that bedding. We are doing a deep vacuum tomorrow, and our other pets are treated with Revolution. The cat hasn’t left the room, but Im worried the fleas could have hitched a ride.

I just saw a flea crawling on my pants even after all of this, and am pretty concerned. (Then again, that was after the cat was on my lap - he’s wonderful, I cant resist). I am also moving out in about a month and need him to be free of fleas by then.

Anyone with any tried and true pet safe methods?
