Since last night, my 11 mo old spayed female cat has been going in both litterboxes one after the other and scratching and scratching without peeing. She doesn't appear to be in pain and isn't making noise while she's in there, but I'm concerned with the frequency she's going in (it was like four times in an hour last night, then didn't seem to be at all during the night although I was sleeping for a lot of it, then once early this morning, then two or three times just now). I cleaned both boxes just now and there were clumps of pee in both which were smaller than her normal but not teeny tiny, so she is producing SOME pee but I'm still a little concerned that it's less than she usually does. There are long intervals between when she goes to the litterbox, it's just that when she does, she visits both in quick succession and spends a while in there apparently not producing much at all.
She's eating and drinking.
There didn't appear to be any blood in her urine.
I'll be calling the vet when they open but I'd love some input from you all in the meantime about how worried I should be.
