I have an 11 year old male cat that was neutered at around a year old.
We moved in with my boyfriend last year, he has 3 fixed female cats. We took the transition as slow as possible and we think we did everything pretty well. He seems to be pretty well integrated now. This past spring, I also had to have 9 of his teeth removed, but he has recovered well.
Within the last 6 months, he's started humping everything from blankets to clothing and towels. If we try to stop him or interrupt his behaviour, he gets aggressive and upset. I've tried to get those cat calming things from the vet - she suggested it might be nerves due to all the changes, that didn't help. We've also tried to distract him with playing with him/playing with him more in general but that also doesn't seem to work.
Any advice?
