My 3 year old English Mastiff was diagnosed with blastomycosis in July 2021. He was put on Itraconazole 600 mg then due to his size. It took him a few weeks but eventually he responded very well and had no issues. For the past 2 weeks his stomach has been very upset with constant diarrhea and some vomiting. He recently was decreased to 300 mg because the vet thought the high dosage was causing issues. But this hasn’t helped his diarrhea. I’ve tried chicken, rice, broth, everything. This is when he’ll even eat. He’s been given metronidazole for the diarrhea but hasnt helped. Vets keep wanting to put him on more diarrhea medicine but I want to get to root of the issue. Just wondering if anyone is familiar with this or have any advice? Thank you.
