I adopted a new one and a half year old tuxedo cat yesterday (10 lbs) and the shelter said he had issues with crystals and could not eat dry food and had to stick to a strict diet of specific Purina urinary tract specialty wet food (3/4 a can x2 a day) which is fine. I just ordered a crate from chewy and the shelter supplied me a few days worth. I am wondering if everyone once in a while I could let him eat a treat like a slice of mango or like a spoonful of tuna?
