I just adopted two kittens a few months ago. One male and one female. They are now about 6 months old, and they are semi feral. We adopted them at around 16 weeks when we got them.
They both use their litter trays, we have two very large trays one up and one downstairs. They were kept in one room as advised by the shelter up until about a month ago where we let them into the rest of the house.
Since we let them into the rest of the house, they've been peeing on the furniture. I say they because we've never seen it happen, so we do not know which one it is. They've peed on our bed, couch, on piles of clothes, even on both me and my partners backpack.
We bought some enzyme treatment and some spray that's meant to deter and we haven't seen an issue since, this was just over a week ago.
Last night they peed in our bed, while we slept, literally just in the middle of us at 4am.
What is the reason for this? Is there anything we can do? I've changed to different litters throughout to see if it's that (but they do still pee In the litter tray too). Tried citrus sprays and sprays meant for cats peeing.
