I have a doberman. Unfortunately I trained him to go poo on puppy pads. He goes pee outside just fine until no one's paying attention. He'll go outside to pee if we are looking and he'll hold his poo until we're not looking. I take him outside every hour. He Is Crate trained. When we go to bed or when I go to work for a couple hours twice a day he's in his crate no problems. When I come home I let him out he goes pee but he won't go poo. I cannot take him for walks right now because it is 119 degrees outside at the moment where I live. It has been extremely hot for at least a month now so I am unable to do that until it cools off. It seems like he purposely holds it until someone is not paying attention. And after he eats I wait about 20 minutes I take him outside and nothing, he doesn't poop for a couple hours after he eats. But I could take him out after a couple hours he still won't go, he insist on going in the house. When he has done it outside I praise him like crazy but he's stubborn I guess. I seriously need some help because I'm about to find another home for him. I don't want to, but I cannot take it. I obviously cannot potty train a dog. I've done everything that experts tell us to do and people on the internet tell me to do. I have tried it all and he doesn't let me know when he needs to go if he would just walk to the door or anything to give me a signal. He'll just walk over the other side of the room and go before I even notice it. Seriously, if I look away for 20 seconds it's done and then it's too late. I caught him a couple times and I put him outside in the middle-of pooing, but it doesn't faze him. And I can't just leave him outside for a prolonged. Of time because like I said, it's 119 outside even with water that's just mean. Please if anybody has any new ideas it would really be appreciated. I've even had a leash on him stuck to my side trying to fix this and it's not working. He just holds it until I take him off the leash and he won't do it outside, he holds it and does it in the house
