My poor puppy’s whole leg is gone, up to his torso. It’s just heartbreaking to look at. I hate that he’s going through this torture. His leg hadn’t healed from breaking so the vet suggested it. When the cast he had slipped off, he was yelping at first, but after my parents took him to the vet, he came home miraculously walking on it with no pain…but now all that effort has diminished.
He’s so fragile right now that he keeps yelping. They can be so sudden, shrill and blood-curdling that it makes me distressed. I wanted to cry because they just scare me, and I keep anticipating them. It’s like him breaking his leg all over again. Luckily I found some earmuffs to put over my earbuds, but it’s short-term and kinda uncomfortable. And even though I’m wearing them, I’m afraid to clean the pee that he somehow got right outside the kennel. Starting to wonder if something is wrong with me.
