Hi.
It's quite the difficult time for my family and I, but I've never had to experience putting down a pet so I'm wondering what we should do beforehand? He's six and he was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure. Young, I know, but the veterinarian said it's most likely genetic and out of our control, so now we just play the waiting game.
Of course, I know we should keep him comfortable and pampered, but I mean regarding keepsakes and the like. I know we can do paw imprints and such, but does anyone have any other ideas?
It's a weird time right now, and it was all so sudden and unfair; but I want to keep him close to me even when he is gone.
