Bringing a kitten and puppy into a home with 3 other cats

Hey y'all sorry in advance how long this is. So, for some background I live with my boyfriend and we already have three cats that are fairly young. The oldest is only 2, another is 1.5 and the other is 1. My boyfriend and I have always talked about getting a puppy and think we're ready for one; however, I think it might be beneficial to bring another kitten in the mix as well because I know my cats now get along with other cats and maybe having the kitten and puppy being raised together will help the other cats feel more comfortable. I would like to add that I know to introduce everybody properly such as keeping them separate so they can only hear and smell each other, then have them eat on the other side of doors together, seeing each other through a gate or screen etc. I am just worried about it being too much for the 3 cats because I have had a puppy before and already know how crazy they can be even if they are properly trained and just how crazy a kitten can be. I'm really just looking for advice or discussion if someone has been in a similar situation. Thanks!!

TLDR: Already own 3 cats under 2 years old, thinking about getting a puppy but wondering if I should get a kitten with the puppy to raise together as friends and help my cats feel more comfortable or if that would be too much?
