My girlfriend and I have a good cat who is about one year old. We thought we would get her a friend so we went to the shelter and got a 2 month old kitten. We immediately introduced the two to see how it would go. Needless to say it did not go smoothly. We’re now being told that we should have kept them separate for a few weeks until they became familiar with each other’s scents. They have already interacted multiple times and I’m wondering if it is too late to try to separate them. Any feedback would be great!
