I’m house sitting for my mom for 10 days and she has a Chorkie mix tiny dog and the food package she feeds her is FreshPet Select for small dogs with chicken carrots and whatever in it.
The package recommends 2/3 - 1 cup (8oz) for dogs that are 5-10lbs per day
My mom told me all she does is give her 1 cup a day and it’s been all good. Idk if she gets treats regularly or not i can’t find any so maybe she ran out or something.
To me it seems like not enough food considering the dog gobbles up the food in about 5 seconds every time. Plus she feels really bony granted she’s like 10 years old but i don’t remember her being this bony when she was younger.
Anyways is that really enough food for her every day? I wanted to test it today and gave her 3 cups 3 different times today and she ate it all in 5 seconds just the same. No puking or crazy bathroom or anything so it seemed all good.
I just feel like the dog is starving but maybe i’m just dumb.
