My year and half old male Blue Heeler seems to be over protective of our new kitten, he licks this poor thing all over and tries to keep her in his kennel, when she tries to run to me, he keeps her from it? Is this safe, he normally tears all his toys to pieces, should I keep the kitten away from him?
