Flying with my dogs

I’ve flown with my dogs a lot but the new rules that forces them to stay in the carrier is going to be a problem. They hate to be in the kennel for any amount of time and get extremely stressed out. They are very well behaved otherwise and have had people not even notice them after sitting next to them for an entire flight. This will definitely not be the case if they have to be in a carrier.

My question is this. Are there tricks any of you have learned to soothe your pet while they are in a carrier? Is there anyway around this rule besides getting them certified as service dogs? They’re both over 12 years old so I think that ship has sailed lol. Thanks!
