I have a 4 year old cat who has been pretty good. I brought home a 5 month old kitten today. I put them in separate rooms to introduce them slowly as recommended. Well. My older cat heard the new cat on the other side of the door, let out a screeching mow that sounded like a scream that my neighbors heard, peed herself, then attacked me.
I am now scared for my new cat and terrified of my older cat. I have no idea what to do. I don’t want to get rid of either of them. Has anyone dealt with a really bad case like this? How can it get better? I am in tears
