I am considering adopting a cat, I need some advise

I have a few questions,

Do I need to take my cat to pet grooming centers and how frequently would I need take my cat to such places?

Could a cat be trained to be an indoor cat? If I am adopting a cat from a shelter, they might be stray cats which were rescued. So would it be hard or impossible to train them to be an indoor cat? As my locale has more than few houses who have a pet dog and there are few stray dogs in the area, I don't want to risk the cat getting hurt or worse. So would it be possible or is it bad for the cat?

I currently live in a vegetarian household, I know cats are carnivorous and I won't be feeding them a vegetarian diet. I would be providing them the wet and dry cat food available in pet store(Purina, Whiskas etc). But my question is, would that be enough to provide a balanced diet?

I would give them fruits or veggies but won't be able to provide freshly cooked fish/meat which some people tend to do. Would I be risking the cat's health by doing so?

I want to provide it a happy forever home so I want to be sure of these things before I can adopt one.
