Hey all, so I've been in this really difficult roommate situation and I spent the past week trying to find a place that was right for me.
Finally finding something in my budget, and even bribing the landlord with an extra $25 a month, I signed the lease immediately. In a panicked state, I lied about my cat. He said "no pets" multiple times, to which I agreed. Multiple times..
my cat is hairless, and besides the occasional meow, shes pretty much invisible. I'm paying extra to live in this space, and I dont own a rottweiler. These are my justifications, and I'm hoping my landlord would respond well if told. I'm telling myself it's not completely irrational.
with the understanding he probably won't do anything legal wise, Ive been considering letting him know now before I move in a couple days from now (probably pissing him off) or, I tell him its my grandmothers cat, and that she has alzheimer's. She really does, but no cat.
What would you do in this situation?
