My 6year old beagle has been shivering and whimpering for a few hours now. Whenever I try to carry her she whimpers like she's in a lot of pain but I've felt her everywhere she doesn't yelp at any particular spot. The vet also examined her and said that there is nothing that can be done at this time because she's not showing any symptoms per se. He took out some goop from her ass which made her feel a little better but as soon as she got back home she went back to being tense and shaky. He also said that if this persists for another couple days we'll get an x-ray done.
I really don't know what to do feeling super helpless. i don't want to get an x-ray done unless it is absolutely necessary but its killing me to see her like this. Has anyone else seen this before? I'd really appreciate it if y'all could share your experiences.
