I’ve been slowly introducing my new kitten to my two dogs for the past month but today I let the kitten walk lose with the dogs. (It was in my room so I had extreme supervision on them also they are small dogs)
One of my dogs is female and she’s scared of the cat so she didn’t put much interest just a small sniff. Meanwhile the male dog kept sniffing the kitten and licked her ears as well as her fur. He also kept smelling her butt.
I only let this happen for a minute or two since this was a curious reaction. But I’m wondering what does it mean?
Supposedly it material for female dogs to clean kittens but idk about male dogs. (Ps. The female dog is his daughter so he’s had experience on cleaning the puppies so idk if he’s just doing the same for the kitten but his sniffing seems excessive)
