If this is the incorrect place for this, please advise.
We're having trouble between our 2 yr old pit mix and our 7 yr old lab mix. Both are sweet girls with very few exceptions, but there have been 4 really brutal fights in the last few months. Younger has been the aggressor in 3. The last, 2 night's ago, was the second in as many days. The older dog attacked back after being cornered by the younger.
Toys and food were the triggers at first, but now it seems territorial. These fights are bloody and vicious. The dogs are locked into each other and it's nearly impossible to separate them. The older is going to the vet today with a weeping chest wound.
I'm afraid re- homing is the only solution, but would appreciate suggestions before we resort to it. Thanks in advance.
