He’s been with us so long, it’s almost impossible to think of a time when he wasn’t around. He’s been with us since our first apartment, first house, marriage, and the birth of our son. We scheduled this date because his arthritis is making it hard for him to do pretty much anything but lay near us. Somehow knowing that o scheduled this appointment makes me feel so much worse. But I know that this would be happening in a year or two anyway, perhaps sooner with the winter coming. This morning I took some extra time to cuddle him on the couch before waking my son up for the day. Please remember to take a moment and give yours an extra pet or cuddle.
