Hey Reddit,
Could use some advice. I love animals and want nothing more than to have all kinds of pets, but right now I live in an apartment with my boyfriend and one cat. While the apartment is pretty spacious, we still can't have a dog. Our current cat is about 9 years old, very social, and grew up the first 5-6 years with 3 other dogs (at my parents' home). We absolutely adore her and would love to have another cat around for us and potentially as a companion for her as I can't help but feel she gets lonely during the day while we're at work. Is it smart to adopt a kitten (~4-5 months) old or is that just a bad idea? I know cats are finicky with other cats but is it possible to do if one is a baby? Thanks!
