Hey all,
We sterilized our cat a few weeks ago, and at the same time we changed all of his food for quality products. We used to feed him about 90g of kitten dry food at once in one of those balls that he has to play with, and that used to be enough for the day. On top of that, he had the equivalent of one large tablespoon of wet food daily.
Now that he's sterilized we changed for quality adult food, and we realized we were giving him way too much food before. We now give him around 20 grams of dry food twice a day, but the same amount of wet food.
The thing that worries me is that he now eats his meals in one sitting, instead of spreading his sessions during the day.
Is it normal ? Are we giving him the correct amount of food in a correct fashion ?
For reference, our cat is male, 7 months old, he's lean and a little bit under 3kg. We give him Orijen Six Fishes as dry food and Animonda Carny as wet food.
Thanks in advance !
