Awful pet

I feel terrible even admitting this....but I 99% hate my cat. I'm at least halfway through my life and have always had pets. I love animals.

Last spring my husband brought home a kitten that was lost outside. Kitty was about 3 months old. At the time, we owned a dog and three adult cats. All of the cats hated the kitten, which I expected because "new."

A month later, our oldest cat died of metastatic cancer of some sort. A month after that, our youngest adult cat bolted outdoors and we never found her (I honestly think she ran away because of the kitten). Our remaining adult cat was constantly being tormented by the kitten, who was constantly pouncing and bothering everyone. After a couple of months, we adopted another kitten to keep our kitten company. It worked okay. They play together and largely leave Cat alone. Newest kitten is awesome.

Back to original kitten....he is into everything all the time! If you open the fridge, he's in it. Or the cupboards. Or the dryer. He climbs the curtains and tries to walk atop the rod. Every so often, he'll appear out of nowhere and bolt out the door. Seriously, it sounds silly but it's exhausting. I have to shut him up in a room when I'm cooking because he'll try to jump into the hot oven when I open it. He bothers the cat, bothers the dog, bothers ne when I'm sleeping.

He doesn't bite or scratch and is somewhat cuddly. He's also very cute. He's just wicked annoying and I've never had a pet behave this way!

Anyway, I need someone to tell me it's going to be okay. Will he chill as he gets older or is it going to be 15 years of Hell?
