My ~1 y/o will pee on the floor at the foot of my bed. i put an extra litter box there, and she uses it, but she's also messy as hell , tracks litter and danglies onto the carpet. and her poops smell rancid and wake me up in the middle of the night. i tried removing the box to see if she was over it, but she just peed on the carpet again as of typing this.
i feel I've been patient with her, but it's grating.
i'll preface this by saying she's very well taken care of, fed, happy, and safe,
but i fucking hate her. i genuinely do not like her, she is so god damn irritating, and it's taking nearly all of my self control to not let that reflect on how she's cared for.
i want her to not piss on the carpet.
that's all.
(it isn't a uti, she has no other symptoms and only pees in that spot. it's very likely behavioral, i have literally watched her look at me and squat because i wouldn't let her outside, and three times in a row at that before i was too late in picking her up.
i don't want to permanently bathroom her since there aren't windows and she likes those.
negative reinforcement doesn't work, apparently, and i have no idea how to positively reinforce peeing in her bathroom litter box.
are there litterboxes that will both trap the smell and prevent her tracking anything out of the box?)
