So I'll be moving in with my new roommate in a few months, I have two cats and she has a cat. We're trying to work out how to feed our cats, because we have different feeding methods.
I feed my cats dry food (sometimes wet food) twice: once in the morning, once at night. I have been trying to get them off graze feeding, because one cat has weight problems. I have a puzzle feeder, that I've been reducing how much food they have access to for the last few months and I'm to the point of removing it.
She feeds her cat wet food twice: morning and night. Afterwards she puts dry food in the bowl, just in case she gets hungry. Since her cat doesn't like dry food a lot, its only if she's not there to feed her in time.
While it will be easy to get my male cat not to eat her cats food and her cat won't eat my cats dry food, my garbage can of a cat with weight problems will eat anything she has access to.
We're not sure what to do, and are looking for advice from the inter-webs.
