I have 2 Red Eared sliders eho recently I have learned are in terrible living condition and I want to do something about it but taking care kf them is too expensive, and no shelter or nature preserve wants to take them in. I've been told that it is a big no no to release them into a local pond or anything of the like and that the only humane option is to euthanize them, but I physically cannot do that. what can I do in my situation, and where can I still bring them that won't result in my me needing to drive them half way across the continental US when my car can barely get up a hill? I'm really between a rock and a hard place right now.
