My dog is very sweet, wouldn’t hurt a fly. We just got a new ferret in the house, and my dog just harasses it, I know she’s trying to play, the ferret hisses a little but he has gone from attack mode to being a bit playful. Even so my dog won’t stop freaking out, following the ferret chasing it back and forth just to play, but he can’t have two seconds to himself. I have caged my dog while the ferret is out she just consistently cries. I had kittens with this dog for about 3 months and exact same behavior, the other animal moves the dog runs at it and just stands there. My dog would never hurt it, it’s just a very annoying behavior. She knows a lot of tricks, but no matter how hard I try I can’t teach her stay for more then two seconds. How can I help this behavior? Anybody out there got a ferret and dog that are friends?
