How to structure pet sitting rates?

I've sat for my friends pets for a long time and have never asked for money, they just pay me what they want and I'm good with it because they're friends.

Recently I started pet sitting for strangers and taking on "real" clients. My fee for overnight boarding (animals come to my house, I don't stay at their homes) is written out as $25/night. Well, I have one client who is pretty much taking advantage of me by dropping their dog off at 8am on day one and then picks the animal up 6pm the next day. Technically I only have the animal one night, but I have them for a large portion of the weekend and feel like I should make more for this.

How do you suggest I structure my rates? Should it be $25/day? Or should it be $25 for the first 24 hours and then increments in hours after that?

Any advice is welcome. Thank you!
