Two months ago, a dear friend of mine died. He was quite elderly and lived on his own with his equally elderly cat. They were a right pair.
After his death, I took in his cat. She did really well, very demanding for food and attention.
Three days ago she stopped eating and became very tired. I took her to the vet today where they found an infection in her mouth and gave her some injections.
This evening she had a seizure and while I took her to the emergency vet, she had 7 more. I made decision to not try and treat her, but let her die in peace.
I am in pieces right now, and feel like I have lost my friend all over again. It was still worth it however, she was a brilliant and super sweet cat and he was the best of friends.
