My cat apparently swallowed a yarn type string (about 10 in long) and threw it up.

Hey all, I am having a bit of scare with my cat right now. He chewed off a part of a long woven string, a little thicker than a shoe lace and ate the smaller part which was about 10 in long. I had no idea until he threw it up about a couple hours ago. I am not sure when he ate it but he's had a normal appetite and attitude yesterday and all day today. Might be TMI but the string was intact and, as weird as it sounds, nicely folded when he threw it up, meaning it wasn't tangled at all. He is eating and drinking water now and doesn't seem any bit out of sorts. Does this seem like a good sign? Should I look out for anything else? Anyone else experience this with their cat?
