Hi everyone,
I made the mistake of letting my cat out late in the afternoon two days ago. Usually he goes out in the morning and comes back without a hitch within 20 minutes. This time was different. Coyotes were sighted in the area around the time of his disappearance, but unfortunately I don't have any evidence that they caught him.
I have done everything I could think of:
My family and I have spent two days searching the neighborhood and passing out flyers.
I updated his microchip information in case he gets turned into a shelter.
When you've done everything you can think of, what's next? How do I live with the uncertainty of not knowing what the hell happened to my cat? I can't find his collar, I can't find any evidence of blood wherever I look. By all accounts, my cat has vanished and it's tearing me up.
I look out my window every morning and hope to see him walking up the street. I'm starting to take walks in the hopes of seeing him. But what if all of this is just hopeless?
Redditers, have you ever had a pet gone missing, and you just never got a conclusion to the story? I really don't want to feel so alone in all of this.
