New cat won’t pee

Not just won’t pee in the litter box. I mean she won’t pee anywhere.

I’ve had her for about thirty hours now and she hasn’t peed (or pooped) once. I’ve tried three types of litter, including rabbit pellets, which the vet told me she peed in during her overnight stay. She isn’t going to the litter box and trying to pee but failing. She has no interest at all.

I put her in the boxes (plastic and cardboard) multiple times and she hopped out. Moved her paws through the the litter, didn’t care. Placed the boxes in different locations, she didn’t take the bait. Poured water in it - no interest. I even scattered leaves in the box, because I’ve watched her pee on leaves outside before I adopted her. Uh-uh. No dice.

The vet tech has been as sweet as can be with this. She came by in the middle of the night to try and put pressure on my cat’s bladder to get her to pee. Multiple times she squeezed, until my girl whined in discomfort. Still no pee.

I’ve been informed to wake up every few hours to check if she’s peed. I’ve looked all around the room to see if she did her business somewhere covertly, but she’s locked in a big dog crate when I leave to keep her safe while she recovers from the spay, so it’s unlikely I’d miss it.

If she hasn’t peed by tomorrow morning or seems to be in pain during the night, she’s going to a professional immediately, but honestly I’m so confused. Can anyone guess what’s going on? She hasn’t been too keen on drinking water, but ate her wet food just fine with some water mixed in, and the vet tech said her bladder felt moderately full when palpated.
