Hello everyone,
Maverick (my dog pictured) is in need of a kidney transplant. I know the usual approach of " Dogs are more likely to reject a donor kidney unless it comes from a related dog " holds true, but I am really looking for some advice. We have looked for the couple that gave him to us. Maverick has two brothers and a sister that we but can't find them. We have even been to all of the local pet shelters looking for possible donors, but haven't chosen one yet. I really wanted to get one from one of his siblings, but if we cant I am not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be recommended.
