here’s a lil backstory
my family had a dog for most of my life. he died at the end of 2017, he was just old and had a hard time living. also, my parents divorced when i was young.
my mom has been mentioning the past few months that she wants another dog. unfortunately, the duplex she lives in right now doesn’t allow big pets. no dogs or cats but she can have smaller animals, such as hamsters. my sister who lives with her has a pet turtle.
my sister is going to finish her first year of college in may i think and is planning on moving in with her friends sometime in the summer, so my mom will be living alone. which she doesn’t mind but i know she will be lonely. since can’t get a dog i’m wondering if maybe i should get her a guinea pig to take care of and keep her company.
i hope someone reads this and is able to help me out. i haven’t asked her about my idea yet. i have done a little bit of research on guinea pigs but i’m wondering if anyone who has more experience has any advice. thank you so much
