Her health is fine - she's just old and fat, no UTI's and last round of bloodwork was awesome for an almost 18 year old cat. We've started keeping her in a puppy play pen when we aren't home since she's taken a liking to peeing anywhere but the litter box, and I've noticed she'll pee on a piddle pad or one of the cat beds in the pen and then sleep on whatever she just peed on. I don't think this is new behavior, just new to us since she had more variety of places to pee and sleep on before. Does anyone have any idea why a cat may do this? She is legitimately in as good health as a fat old cat can be and she's been very sedentary since she hit her senior years, so I don't think it's illness or rebellion against the play pen.
