I wanted to give everyone an update as of today since it has been a bit. I posted about finding my cat on adoption website on here for everyone to see. I was very helpful this place would reunite me with my cat has been lost around the 24th of January. It was Sunday when I was missing him I had stumbled upon him being up for adoption. I thought from the response I got on Monday I would have a chance of getting him back. Let's me give you the background of how I came to find Lucky.
My dad is a porter ( a job that insist of maintaining the halls and outside grounds of an building, organizing and taking out the garbage ) who went to do his job. He heard a cat crying, but he didn't think too much about it at first. After doing his duties, he went to find the source of the cry to make sure the cat was not hurt. He looked inside of the bucket to find a kitty looking at him and crying for help. What he did was take that little guy home and called me out to come look at the kitten. From the moment I laid eyes on him, I knew I wanted him in my life and called him Lucky.
Back to the topic at hand, I was up last night to find that finally someone else from the organization had responded to my email. I was nervous, but excited at the thought I would be able to talk to someone and get my cat back. Nothing went as I had hoped it would. I'm not getting my cat back or anything. After this woman's message, all I could do was cry about not being able to be reunited with my cat. I could not sleep for the rest of the night after pretty much reading what felt like she was saying, "Without proper paperwork, you are not getting your cat back any time soon." That hurt me more than anything. The reason behind the whole microchip thing is because I said I did not get him microchipped or take him to the vet because I could not afford it. I am overall hurt about this entire thing.
